  12. I'm trying to hook up a US Robotics Sportster 288 to a Mac PPC 6100
  13. running System 7.5.1. Results:

  15. - modem & cable in PPC modem port : no connection (MacCheck diagnostic
  16. utility senses no modem connected, AOL, PPP software can't initialize)
  17. - modem & cable in PPC printer port : same
  18. - modem & cable in Mac IIsi modem port: all works A-OK
  19. - laser printer in PPC printer port : all A-OK

  21. What is wrong with this setup? Is there a known compatibility problem
